Before the start of the house we were between two builders, and picked Chad Goodin Signature Homes, one because of cost and more importantly, because of the feeling we got that you were a type of builder that looks out for your customers. After 5 months into the build, and one more month to go, our gut feeling was right. You have given expert advice time and time again to rookie home builders and have been great to work with on unexpected “ideas” we had during the build. If we didn’t reach you on your cell phone, we would get a call back within the hour. My wife and I have enough difficult situations at work, and it is nice to have a builder that solves problems confidently and quickly.
Jamie and myself were very thorough with budgeting for the new house and did a lot of research but we heard so many stories of people being way over budget and we knew we had to pick a builder that wasn’t selling us just on price. Your personality made us feel that you were not trying to undersell us and then run up the budget after we were under contract. A week ago we sat down with you to discuss how the budget looked and what we found out was that we were under budget. We are also in the process of trying to get out of our temporary living arrangements early because we wrongfully put some padding in the time you told us it would take to finish. "Chad is great to because of several characteristics he has. I am grateful to him because he made a difficult task happen. I appreciated his creativity, honesty, knowledge and his accessibility. I worked directly with Chad Goodin on a couple projects. First, I was planning on using him to do a project that was a total renovation. (interior and exterior) It was a house we were going to convert to a commercial business. We meet with everyone from soil scientists, DOT, and architects to people that could move the structure. I was amazed at his suggestions on elevation and function. He did a ton of leg work. Finally the project did not happen because of the town zoning politics. I am grateful to Chad for his help. It was incredible to get that type of services on a “Potential Job”
The most recent project was the build out of my new office. It was a great experience. You can’t do a major project with out running into a few issues. I was please with the way Chad handled the issues as they surfaced. He and his foreman worked with me from the beginning. (Even before I placed the property under contract and through the architectural and engineering drawings) We had the engineers revise things for value engineering. He saved me a lot of money! From details to big picture they took care of everything. I would use him again if I had it to do this same project over or any other project. I don’t think a high percentage of people feel that way about their builder. The infamous post certificate of occupancy “punch list” is normally an issue with all builders. They however; did everything I wanted and more. I would highly recommend Chad Goodin as a builder.
